Umahi Dismisses Peter Obi as No Threat to Tinubu Ahead of 2027

As the 2027 presidential race approaches, Works Minister David Umahi said Peter Obi poses no challenge to President Bola Tinubu or the ruling APC. On Arise TV’s Daybreak Show, Umahi claimed even he isn’t afraid of Obi’s influence. He argued Obi’s politics lack substance and insisted the former Anambra governor can’t “face” him, let alone the president. Umahi also questioned Obi’s eight-year record in Anambra State, citing failures in road repairs, industry development and contractor payments. He accused the Obidient movement of silencing dissent with insults, threats and lawsuits, contrasting it with how critics treat President Tinubu.

Rather than focus on dismissal, voters should compare each candidate's policy proposals to assess who offers real solutions by 2027.
