Connecting Diaspora Africans Through Storytelling: Gbolajesu Amusa’s Cultural Journey
For many Africans living abroad, culture becomes more than tradition—it becomes memory, comfort, and a sense of belonging. UK-based storyteller and creative curator Gbolajesu Amusa has made it her mission to design experiences that tap into this deeper need. As co-founder of Odyssey Media House, she leads campaigns, youth programs, and community events rooted in collective storytelling. She believes people forge stronger bonds when they experience narratives together. Her work as Media Lead at the Bradford African Festival of Arts brought this vision to life. She shaped the festival’s digital and live storytelling with a focus on authentic representation and immersive atmosphere.
