LSSTF Donates Bulletproof Vests and Helmets to Boost Lagos Taskforce Security

LSSTF Donates Bulletproof Vests and Helmets to Boost Lagos Taskforce Security — 1 of 2
1 / 2

The Lagos State Security Trust Fund has donated bulletproof vests and ballistic helmets to the Lagos State Taskforce and the Lagos Neighbourhood Safety Agency. This equipment aims to strengthen officer protection and emergency response across the state. The Executive Secretary of the Trust, Dr Ayodele Ogunsan, led visits to the Taskforce headquarters in Oshodi and the LNSA facility. The gear was formally received by CSP Adetayo Akerele and LNSA General Manager Prince Ifalade Oyekan. Dr Ogunsan explained that the anti-riot equipment is intended to maintain public order during protests and emergencies, not for aggression. Both agencies commended the Trust’s support, noting the boost it will give to personnel morale and operational effectiveness.

Taskforce leaders should pair this protective gear rollout with regular drills and clear communication plans for faster, coordinated emergency response across Lagos.
