ISWAP Finance Operative Surrenders to Troops in Borno, Army Says
A senior ISWAP finance operative has surrendered to troops of Operation Hadin Kai in Borno State, the Nigerian Army says. The suspect allegedly managed funds and logistics for an ISWAP enclave in Jubillaram. He surrendered on July 25 along the Ladari–Jegarawa–Tunokalia axis of the Gamboru–Wulgo supply route with two children. Troops reportedly recovered an AK-47 rifle, four magazines, 101 rounds of ammunition, a motorcycle and ₦40,000. The Army said the operative is being profiled and interrogated for intelligence that could support operations against other ISWAP members. It added that about 46 suspected terrorists and relatives have surrendered in recent days amid sustained military operations in the North-East.
