Nigeria’s E-Passports Now Seamlessly Verified Worldwide After ICAO Directory Update

Nigeria’s E-Passports Now Seamlessly Verified Worldwide After ICAO Directory Update

The Nigeria Immigration Service has imported the country’s signing certificates into the ICAO Public Key Directory. Nigerian electronic passports can now be automatically verified by border control systems in all member states. The Ministry of Interior coordinated the exercise, reflecting the government’s commitment to secure digital identity management and smoother international travel for Nigerians.
