KASA Crowned Samuel Okwaraji U-16 Football Champions in Port Harcourt Thriller
King Amachree Sports Academy (KASA) lifted the Samuel Okwaraji Under-16 Football Championship trophy after a 1-0 win over St. Peter’s Secondary School in Port Harcourt. Michael Unity struck the decisive goal, capping a campaign that included a 3-1 semi-final victory against Perfect Brain Secondary School. KASA’s tactical discipline and teamwork defined their run to the title. Organised in honour of late Super Eagles midfielder Samuel Okwaraji, the tournament remains one of Rivers State’s premier youth football events. This football triumph follows KASA’s recent national victory at the Nestlé MILO Secondary Schools Basketball Championship, cementing the academy’s growing reputation in Nigerian school sports. Driven by the vision of Alhaji Mujahid Dokubo-Asari, the academy’s “Play, Study and Progress” philosophy has spurred investments in facilities, coaching and player welfare. To sustain this momentum, KASA has forged a five-year partnership with EEXSport Digital Company under sports expert Emeka Enyadike. The collaboration will bring sports science, educational support and international athlete pathways to the academy. With enhanced programmes in football, basketball, athletics and more, KASA now aims not only to dominate locally but also to nurture talents ready for global competition.
