NYSC Doctor Dies in Zamfara a Week Before Passing Out
A National Youth Service Corps member, Dr Ibrahim Abdulmumin Adeiza, collapsed and died at Yarima Bakura Specialist Hospital in Gusau on May 13, 2026. He fell ill around 1:00pm after stepping out with a colleague and passed away an hour later. The Information and Public Relations Officer of Zamfara State’s Ministry of Health confirmed the incident. The State Government has expressed deep sorrow over the loss of the young doctor serving his compulsory service year. The Commissioner for Health described Adeiza’s death as a major loss to the health sector and prayed for strength for his family, friends, and the NYSC community.
